Dare To Learn - The Festival for Rethinking Learning

Updated: Jul 6, 2020

Today, I would like to introduce you to a great educational event about Rethinking Learning. It is called Dare to Learn - The Festival of Rethinking for Learning. The event will be held in Helsinki, Finland between September 16 and 17, 2020. I must say that it will be extremely challenging to attend this event during the pandemic especially for educators not currently living in Finland. However, I still think this is an important event to know.

Very different than many educational events and conferences, Dare to Learn has a unique approach to include approximately 60% active co-creation by the event participants to create actual solutions and true connections with the other participating educators. The event also includes some great keynotes and speakers.

Dare to Learn describes itself as follows on their website:

"Dare to Learn is the biggest learning event in Northern Europe. Or actually, it is more than that. It is a two-day festival of continuous learning, a playground for the ones who dare to create the future and be part of it."

I think my readers will be very interested in Dare to Learn tracks. Please see them below:

TRACK 1: FUTURE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS

Learning environments engage and empower. As many studies have proven, engagement and empowerment are the keys to a successful business and the cornerstones of learning. On the other hand, learning increases personal commitment, motivation, and self-efficiency.

How to turn an organization into a learning environment? How to build a culture of learning?

TRACK 2: WORKING LIFE 2.0

Working life is changing — are you on board? The world is changing fast forcing work to change as well. Rather than following old-fashioned linear career paths, moving sideways is the new trend. We are tapping into new networks and transforming the concept of a career. How does the future of work look like? How to provide meaningful work for everyone?

TRACK 3: SKILLS OVER DEGREES

Working life is changing — are you onboard? The world is changing fast forcing work to change as well. Rather than following old-fashioned linear career paths, moving sideways is the new trend.
